One of the brightest young entrepreneurs for 2017

Steve Anastos is an associate at Bain Capital Ventures and he was included in the 2017 Forbes list “30 under 30” as one of the brightest young entrepreneurs.

He studied History and Economics at Harvard College where he graduated in 2011. Steve Anastos started working as a strategy consultant at Altman Vilandrie & Company. There he worked on engagements across telecom and digital media and advised on M&A transactions in the internet infrastructure space. Some of his roles there were customer acquisition and retention strategy, due diligence in support of multiple M&A transactions, go-to-market strategy and C-Level growth planning. He remained in that position for three years.
He then supported seed-stage entrepreneurs at Blueprint Health, a NYC-based accelerator for a year. He worked alongside the Winter ’14 batch of 7 seed-stage companies on sales and marketing, strategy, business development and fundraising.

In 2014, he joined Bain Capital Ventures, which focuses primarily on B2B and B2C commerce technology and manages $80 billion in assets globally. His role spans the investment lifecycle, from finding and evaluating new investments to working closely with portfolio companies.

Forbes magazine published the list “30 under 30” for 2017, featuring 600 of the brightest young entrepreneurs, chosen from over 15,000 nominees overall. Steve Anastos and three more Greeks were among the 600 entrepreneurs.

He’s a board observer at Flow Commerce, Inc., mParticle, Rent The Runway, 4Moms, MediaRadar, Inc. and AvidXchange, Inc.. He also helped bring BUILD.org to NYC, where the non-profit works with 12 schools.
