The Greek Cypriot who dresses celebrities
The fashion has begun recently to meet open wide horizons in Greece as well, however, for Nicholas Petrou, it was a dream of life since his childhood, which he methodically followed up today. Starting from Cyprus, he arrived in New York, where he lives and works in recent years.
Known for his creations, he saw his career taking off after his collaboration with Lady Gaga, as her costume designer of her world tour, and she appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show, wearing an outfit by the signature of Petrou / Man.
Being low profiled himself, he likes to be an acrobat in styles, designing collections for women of very important and unique pieces and his boutique in Madison Avenue is always packed of people. His studies played an important role in all the above. He has been graduated from the prestigious Central St. Martins College of Art & Design in London, having a master in clothe design; he has worked for several large fashion houses in New York, filling his vision with substantial experience. And that’s not the only one. Clothes with his signature are present in the largest fashion magazines like W, Vogue, Bazaar, Elle, Numero.
Over the past two years, Nicolas Petrou is dedicated to his new project, concerning the design and art direction of the male line called Petrou / Man, for the debut of which he took great reviews from the biggest male fashion magazines and websites by the world and by leading stylists, buyers and showrooms.
