Val Tasso is a Greek American actor, director and producer. He was born Vasilis Tsatsos in Detroit, Michigan in 1977 to George Tsatsos with origins in Arta and Athena Tsatsou of Spartan descent.

Tasso started his career in Detroit in 2000, starring in television commercials, gradually leading him to his first feature film and his decision to relocate to Hollywood one year later. Television commercials, feature films and roles in television series came into Val’s life, like the popular American soap opera General Hospital.

However, Val Tasso made the decision to start up his own production company, Spartan Pictures. As a producer and director, he released the feature film Devil’s Land, starring awarded actor Sally Kirkland and Louis Mandylor of Greek descent, best known for his role in My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Recently, Tasso starred in the animation film Resident Evil: Damnation, lending his voice to the protagonist JD.
