[:el]Six Greek – Australians were selected among the most influential people in South Australia. The list was published by the newspaper The Advertiser. The top 100 have either had a significant impact in the past year or are likely to do so in 2018.
Nick Xenophon
In the top of the list is Nicholas Xenophon. He is an Australian politician and the leader of both the NXT (federal) and SA-BEST (South Australia) political parties. From 2008 until 2017 he was a senator in the Australian Senate. He was first elected to a six-year Senate term in the federal parliament as an independent at the 2007 federal election and was re-elected at the 2013 federal election, before forming the Nick Xenophon Team (NXT) party in time for the 2016 federal election.
Kayla Itsines is known as one of the most influential trainers in the world and she has made it her personal mission to help as many women as possible to achieve their ideal body and to feel more confident and happy. She is in the 7th place of the list. Kayla Itsines, has more than 9 million Instagram followers and 17 million friends in Facebook.
Tom Koutsantonis
Tom Koutsantonis is at the 22nd place. He is a politician in the South Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party, representing the seats of West Torrens (2002−current) and Peake (1997−2002) as a Labor member in the South Australian House of Assembly. He currently serves as Treasurer of South Australia in the Weatherill cabinet.
Theofanis Maras
Theofanis Maras is at the 37th place. The Maras Group, founded by Theofanis Maras, is now headed by his son, Steve Maras. He was proclaimed “leading personality” of South Australia (South Australia Property Icons) in the field of real estate by the Real Estate Council of the same state.

Spero Chapley (Tsapaliaris), owner of the IGA supermarkets is at the 47th place. He heads up his family’s chain of supermarkets in Adelaide, having started out at the bottom of the business as a 17-year-old.
