However, an introductory lesson to the7th art, back in 1996, was the beginning of his journey into the magical world of entertainment. He traveled to Los Angeles, with little money and armed only by his fluent knowledge of the English language – hence comes the name Terry, so he was called in his childhood years by his friends in Volos.

He enrolled in film school at UCLA. Looking for a house, he approached the Greek Church. From there he was sent to Mrs Charieta, who hosted him for four months, he was not ashamed to state that he was sleeping in a … sofa, facing the hill with the sign «Hollywood».

He began by helping in the production of video clips. The shooting took place in sprawling areas and rappers haunts. At the university he became close to a much older fellow student of his, offspring of the Guggenheim family – of the famous museum, who introduced him to the producer Mark Gordon, «more to get rid of me» admits Terry. However, this introduction was meant to be the beginning of the dawn of his career.

HBO suggested to Gordon to shoot a film, and he took Dougas with him, who became production manager of the film. Step by step, his range became wider in the film industry, however, the productions that he was undertaking had remarkable cost and he had lack of money. Having found himself at a very difficult financial position, he received a call from Barbara Ntefina, a Martin Scorsese’s producer, for “Brides” by Pantelis Voulgaris. Terry was interested, he spoke with the Greek director’s lawyer and the co-operation was a fact. After “Brides” he filmed “Time to kill” with Nicolas Cage.

In 2005 he met Paris Kasidokostas with whom they founded the 1821 Media Group. 1821 Media is a multimedia production and finance company that specializes in high quality films, television, graphic novels and digital media. The company has forged successful partnerships with major studios as well as independent filmmakers such as actress Natalie Portman and comic book legend Stan Lee.
