He Consolidated homeopathy in Greece

George Vithoulkas is an International teacher of Classical Homeopathy, honoured with the alternative Nobel Prize (The Right Livelihood Award) for his work in the field of Classical Homeopathy.
He was born in 1932 in Athens. He began studying Homeopathy in 1960 in South Africa. He continued his studies in India in various Colleges of Homeopathy and got a diploma from the Indian Institute of Homeopathy in 1966.
When he returned to Greece he began to implement the Homeopathy and teach it to a few Greek doctors. The therapeutic success of these first attempts, draw the attention of other doctors and in 1970 the Athenian School of Homeopathic Medicine was created. The school – which was renamed Centre of Homeopathic Medicine – is exclusively devoted to teaching physicians.

From 1987 until 1991, in collaboration with the University of Namur in Belgium he has created and planned a very advanced computer program, the Vithoulkas Expert System (VES) for the program RADAR. VES have been  acquired  by more than 1,000 therapists and brought the Classical Homeopathy available to many doctors around the world. George Vithoulkas has also created courses on video of his lessons. He notes that his vision remains the introduction of Homeopathy worldwide. The greatest goal of this vision is the establishment of Colleges of Homeopathy in the U.S. and Europe where Homeopathy will be taught at the highest level and to achieve this objective, he founded the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy in Alonissos Island where he lives.
