Marina Flisvos was awarded with the 5 Gold Anchors Platinum, the highest distinction of the Global Gold Anchor Scheme, distinguishing among some of the remarkable marinas of the world.

Marina Flisvos is the second mega-yacht marina in Europe that receives Platinum distinction, while at the same time, it is the first and only marina in the South-East Mediterranean that has won more than five Golden Anchors.

This is a special world distinction that recognizes the excellent quality facilities of Marina Flisvos, as well as the excellent service it offers to its customers and visitors.

The special award ceremony took place on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Maritime Navigation Museum at the marina, with the completion of the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference 2018, which took place in Greece from 25 to 27 October.

Stavros Katsikadis, CEO of LAMDA Flisvos Marina, stressed that with this distinction, Flisvos Marina is a model of operation and service, which belongs to the most distinguished marinas in the world.

He also added that in its 16 years of operation, it has gained the trust of the marine tourism industry and the recognition of both the Greeks and the foreign yachtsmen and visitors. And he concludes with the prompting: “Today’s distinction also proves something else: that we can develop excellent marinas in Greece, as long as we all share the same vision and work together.”

Jonathan White, chief executive of Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), said among others that to reach this level of distinction, Flisvos Marina had to achieve almost excellent scores in each of the 89 distinct categories of the Gold Anchor Scheme, covering all areas of operation of the marina, with a particular focus on customer service. To receive the distinction, Marina Flisvos was asked to meet all the demanding criteria the Global Gold Anchor Scheme places on its controls and has carried out an intensive program of upgrades of its facilities and services in just 15 months.

As a result, Marina Flisvos scored an extremely high score, exceeding 95% in all of the following six assessment categories: Surroundings, Design, Policies and Procedures, Customer Service, Environmental Issues, Marine Facilities and Infrastructure, Terrestrial Facilities and Infrastructure.
