The volcanic isle of Milos in the Cyclades has one of the most spectacular coastlines of any Greek island, with fabulous coves, remote bays, sea stacks and arches, all carved out of multi-hued rock. One of the very best ways to explore all this is by sea kayak, paddling to places that roads just cannot reach. The island also offers excellent swimming and snorkelling.

FAMILY WATERSPORTS

The lovely Ionian island of Zakynthos (aka Zante) offers a big programme of watersports for guests of all ages. There is also wakeboarding, water-skiing, paddle-boarding, sea kayaking. Zakynthos has some wonderful sandy stretches and you will find plenty of excursions (or sailing) to nearby sandy bays and coves, as well as the resort pool.

REAL MOUNTAIN BIKING

Choose between expert-led mountain bike rides into the hinterland with some challenging and exhilarating ascents, or road cycling tours which concentrate on improving technique and getting miles under your belt. Sivota, in the green and hilly Epirus region on Greece’s west coast is ideal. You can also upgrade to premium bikes, with GPS, loaded with selected routes for self-guided touring.
