Telegraph newspaper published the 2015-16 Telegraph Travel Awards. More than 75,000 readers voted their favorite destinations. Greece ranked 29th among the world’s 50 best countries. Telegraph readers’ love affair with New Zealand continues. This is the fourth year in succession that they have voted it their favourite country for a holiday. Maldives came second and South Africa is in the 3rd place.

The British newspaper notes about Greece:”Despite its troubles over the last couple of years, we seem still to love Greece, and it remains readers’ second favourite Mediterranean destination. It’s certainly true that once you get away from it all on one of those idyllic islands, with white-washed villages shimmering between a deep blue sky and an azure sea, the problems of the world seem to melt away.”
