2 Greeks nominated in Golden Globes

The nominations for the 73rd Golden Globe Awards were announced. 2 Greeks won a nomination in the categories best director and best score.

“Carol,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Revenant,” “Room” and “Spotlight” were among the films that earned top honors as nominees in the drama motion picture category.

George Miller is nominated in the category best director for the film “Mad Max: Fury Road”. The movie is also nominated in the drama motion picture category. He is mostly famous for making the trilogy of the movie «Mad Max» (1979, 1981, 1985), and later on for «Happy Feet» (Oscar Award for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year 2006), and «Babe» (Oscar Award for Best Visual Effects in 1995).

Alexandre Desplat is nominated in the score category for the music he created for the movie “The Danish girl”. Desplat is one of the most significant music composers and an expert in composing soundtracks for the cinema.
