Prolepsis Institute among the top 500 NGO of the world

The Institute of Preventive Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Medicine, Prolepsis, which this year completes 25 years, won the 177th place among the top 500 non-governmental organizations worldwide, while taking the first place among the Greek non-governmental organizations that participated.

Mr. Jean-Christophe Nothias, President of the Swiss non-profit organization Global_Geneva, which annually conducts the grading, says: «Non-profit organizations bring about enormous changes in society, but the incomplete disclosure of their work leaves most of us in the dark.»

In addition, its European Programme Health Reporting Training – HeaRT was chosen by the European Commission. The Prolepsis Institute was the coordinator of HeaRT program, under which a comprehensive training program was developed to provide expertise to journalists in order attribute in a valid and reliable coverage of issues related to health.

At national level, the Institute Prolepsis dynamically continues his work in the field of public health, while developing charitable work. Recently, it issued the National Dietary Guidelines aimed to contribute to promoting the health of Greek population, utilizing nutritional Greek tradition and relying simultaneously in modern scientific knowledge.

For the 4th consecutive year, through the Food Program and Promotion of Healthy Food – DIET, with great sponsor the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, offers daily free healthy meals to thousands of students while promoting healthy eating. From 2012 until today allocated more than 9.5 million free meals, helping to reduce food insecurity and hunger.
