The edition «Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum» was presented at the Nicholson Museum of the University of Sydney and icludes all the known ceramic art from Ancient Greece and Italy held in museums and private collections around the world into a standard format.

The volume has been written by Michael Turner, Senior Curator of the Nicholson Museum, and Alexander Cambitoglou, Director of the Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens.

Professor Cambitoglou went to Australia in 1961 and has worked to promote Australian research in Greece, beginning in 1967 with the establishment of the Australian excavations at the Geometric settlement of Zagora on Andros, a collaboration between the Athens Archaeological Society and the University of Sydney.
