Art nights at National Archaeological Museum

From the 26th to the 24th July, the Athens municipality is organizing nights of music, theater, cinema, shadow theater, and dance in an effort to promote the venue as a destination for Athenians and tourists seeking a night outdoors. The front yard of the National Archaeological Museum will come to life and offer to those who will be there a memorable experience.

The effort is a collaboration of the Museum and the Athens municipality’s Culture, Youth, and Sports Organization that has planned the week long activities.

The activities kick off on Wednesday 16 July, with the Athens municipality’s Wind Instrument Philharmonic Orchestra and a program of “Musical Moments from Cinema.”

17 July: The municipality’s Greek Music Lab will perform “Greek Composer Creations.”

18 July: the children interactive play “The Magic Attic” with live music will be offered for children between 3 and 9 by the artistic group Forms of Expression.

21 July: children’s theater performance “Don Quixote».

22 July: the movie “Suddenly last summer,” will be screened in the framework of the 4th Athens Open Air Film Festival.

23 July: a night of swing with the Athens Big Band.

24 July: shadow puppet play “Karagiozis shipwrecked and the Antikythera shipwreck,” by the Haridemos shadow theater troupe.
