National Hellenic Museum takes you to the Greek Islands
The National Hellenic Museum will host its annual Gala fundraiser, “Journey to the Greek Islands” at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago on Saturday, May 31. The evening will be complete with fine dining, dancing, entertainment, silent auction, raffle, and celebration. Chicago Journalist, Anna Davlantes, will be the mistress of ceremony for the evening. The Gala is considered the premier event for the Greek-American community, and brings together more than 400 prominent and influential Greek-Americans.
As part of the evening’s festivities, AHEPA, the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, and the founders of GARA, the Greek American Restaurant Association, will be honoured for their ongoing philanthropy in the Greek-American community in Illinois and nationally.
The gala provides an opportunity to raise both funds and awareness for the National Hellenic Museum and its role as North America’s first and foremost repository and center for the preservation and promotion of Greek-American history, heritage and culture.
