Tracy Spiridakos is a Greek Canadian actor, who gained international fame with her roles in “Rise of the Plane of the Apes” and NBC’s television series “Revolution”.
Tracy Spiridakos was born in Manitoba in 1988 to Greek parents, restaurant owners George and Anastasia Spiridakos. She was brought up next to her two brothers in a family of athletic men. At the age of 4, she moved to the Greek village Skala, in Sparta, Greece, with her family and relocated back to Canada five years later. She’s proud of her Greek descent, even mentioning in her twitter and facebook account that she’s a Spartan/Athenian woman.Since her early age she wanted to be an actor and had roles in high school plays. She studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba.
In 2007, she moved to Vancouver to pursue her acting dream and within weeks landed her first television role in the television series “Supernatural”. She continued working in television with roles in popular series such as “Bionic Woman”, “Aliens in America”, “The L Word” and many others.
In the period 2009-2011, she starred in the comedy series “Majority Rules!” were she had the role of Becky Richards, a fifteen-year-old whose life is changed when she is elected mayor of her hometown of Mayfield. She appeared in all 26 episodes of the series.
Afterwards, she appeared in all 42 episodes of the adventure series “Revolution” as Charlie Matheson and in seven episodes of crime series “Chicago P.D.” as Haley Upton.
Apart from television series, Tracy Spiridakos has made many appearances in movies as well. Her first role was in the 2008 movie “Every Second Counts” and from then on, she has appeared in the movies “The Secret Lives of Second Wives” (2008), “Web of Desire” (2009), “Goblin” (2010), “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (2011), “Rags” (2012), “The History of Us” (2015), “Recon” (2016) and will appear in the comedy “Byrd and the Bees” as Rebecca Byrd.
Tracy Spiridakos, won a nomination at the Saturn Awards as the Best Actress in Television in 2013 for her performance in the television series “Revolution”. Many magazines have regularly included her in their most beautiful women of the world lists.
