Mark Bouris is an accomplished businessman and founder of Wizard Home Loans, the second largest mortgage lender of Australia. Since 2007, he is also the founder and Chairman of Yellow Brick Road.

Mark came from humble beginnings and credits his parents George and Marsha Bouris with instilling in him the values and discipline for his later success.

Bouris founded Wizard Home Loans in 1996 to sell it 8 years later for $500 million to General Electric. In 2004, he was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of General Electric and held this position until February 2009.

On June 18th, 2009, he was named Chairman of TZ Limited. He currently is the Chairman of Yellow Brick Road, involved in finance planning, wealth management and home loans.

In August 2011, he was appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of Anteo Diagnostics, a biotechnology company that provides the market with innovative medical diagnostic technologies. He is also a Non-Executive Chairman of Serena Resources Limited, focused on developing copper mining opportunities in Chile.

In 2004, he was named Professor for Banking & Finance and Business Law & Tax at University of New South Wales Australian School of Business.

In 2005, he was ranked in the list of Richest Australians for the first time and holds a position in the list of Richest Greeks of Australia since then.

During the 90’s, Bouris gained wide popularity by appearing in Wizard Home Loans commercials and based on his high media profile, he was later named as the host of the television show The Apprentice, aired in 2009.

In 2011, he also hosted The Celebrity Apprentice Australia with Australia’s famous personas, which was a huge television success, motivating the television channel to renew the series for a second 2012 season.
