Lecturer in the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Medical School of Ioannina, Georgia Salanti has on her resume hstudies in mathematics, epidemiology, sociology, in Athens, Brussels and Munich. Before returning to Greece, she worked as a researcher at Cambridge Uniersity. In August the European Research Council approved a grant of 600.000 Euro as a Starting Grant for her research project that that studies the meta-analysis networks or experimental comparisons. In late 2010 she was awarded one of three Greek L’Oreal-Unesco for women in science Awards.
