Father Ionas, a greek missionary, has been in Taiwan for about 10 years. Since the first liturgy in the small room of a folk hotel, to the ground-floor kindergarten, which was converted into a church, to the 4th floor apartment in a Taipei suburb filled with worshippers, he succeeded in bringing Orthodox Christianity to the gates of China. He has translated important texts of the orthodox faith into chinese and addresses the whole chinese-speaking world via the internet, while every Sunday he broadcasts the liturgy and his sermon to thousands of Chinese people around the globe.
