The Greek woman luring the Chinese into the secrets of olive oil

Katerina Stai-Failadis is a Professor of Greek Literature. She was born and raised in Athens and her origins are on the island of Mykonos.

After being married, she has been living abroad following the professional steps of her husband, a Communication Consultant in Greek Embassies traveling around the globe, and since 2008, she has been residing in Beijing. She delivers courses in Greek cuisine and healthy diet, in an effort to pass on her passion for home cooked food based on Greek olive oil.

Stai-Failadis started creating her website on www.oliveoil-culture.com to spread information about Greek olive oil and establish it in the Chinese diet as a tool for longevity.

She has successfully managed to mix both Greek and Chinese cuisines, using olive oil in Chinese classics, like dumplings and mooncakes.

Katerina Stai-Failadis makes regular appearances in top television shows of major channels, like BTV, HUNAN TV and CCTV and also in well-known magazines, like Women of China, LADY, Beijing Today, DIPLOMAT and many more.

Recently, Stai-Failadis participated in the World Health Maintenance Assembly at Hangzhou in China, presenting the value of olive oil in cosmetology.
