George Kotsiopoulos has built a successful fashion career in the United States, having worked as magazine editor, fashion consultant, stylist and television show host in one of the most popular TV shows in the famous US channel E! Entertainment.
In March 2011, he was included in the Hollywood Reporter’s list of 25 Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood and also in the OUT100 of Out Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential gay men and women in the world.
In 2010, Kotsiopoulos joined Joan Rivers as co-host in Fashion Police observing the style of famous stars without constraint. He has gained their confidence and he is the personal fashion stylist of some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, like Julianne Moore, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Heidi Klum, Anne Hathaway and many more.
George Kotsiopoulos was born on November 18th, 1968 in Chicago to Greek parents and was raised in a traditional Greek family. While studying in an American school, he learned the Greek language in a Greek school. “I did what most Greeks do. I got a bachelor in Business Administration. My Greek emigrant parents wanted me to become a lawyer, a doctor or a businessman”, Kotsiopoulos confessed in an interview, despite his early strong liking for fashion. At the early age of 21, he made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles and devote himself to his big love.
He started his career as a stylist at The New York Times, where he has worked for 8 years and has joined major productions with famous actors. Currently, he’s the fashion editor of C Magazine and also works for the New York Times Magazine.
George has appeared on television as a fashion observer in Good Morning America, E! News Daily, KTLA News and Access Hollywood. Next to Elizabeth Stewart, he organizes the annual charity event Bag Lunch aiming at raising funds to support teaching art in public schools. Famous haute couture houses offer branded luxurious handbags for auctioning.
