Touring the Orient on two wheels

Elias Vrohidis successfully toured 14 countries of the Orient in 2 years and 2.5 months driving a second hand motorcycle and going after a childhood dream than a record. Since his early age, Elias was eager to travel the world and portray nature and world’s people with his camera.

Upon completing his journey, Vrohidis authored and published a travelling diary under the title 27 Full Moon in the East, where he mentions that he doesn’t feel like a tourist but rather like an explorer of human nature and culture, a way to fully perceive and understand the world he lives in.

Within nearly 28 months en route, Elias managed to drive to the far end of the Orient, crossing 14 countries, like Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.

At the beginning of his quest, strong-willed Vrohidis posted on his blog that he had worked two jobs to afford a 4X4 car and was determined to fully equip it for his drive to Africa. Later on, due to his limited budget, he decided to travel on a motorcycle, despite his inexperience and fear of driving two-wheel vehicles. However, his future was about to reveal he had made the right choice.
