CEO of one of the world’s largest toy company

Margo Georgiadis is the CEO of Mattel Inc. For five years, she was the President of Americas Operations at Google. As President of Americas at Google, Margo Georgiadis led the company’s commercial operations in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

Her prior roles at Google include leading global sales operations and expanding local and commerce businesses, such as Google Wallet and Google Places. In this capacity, she was responsible for driving Google’s sales operations and strategies across regions, channels and products as well as leading the sales technology teams which enable the successful commercialization of Google’s products (e.g., AdWords, AdSense, display and mobile ads) with advertisers and publishers.

Before joining Google, Margo was a principal in Synetro Capital LLC, a private investment firm based in Chicago. She is also the former chief operating officer of Groupon, executive vice president of Card Products and chief marketing officer of Discover Financial Services where she led a radical turnaround of business performance and revitalized its rewards leadership with award-winning new products, customer experience and marketing. Prior to Discover, Margo was a partner at McKinsey and Company for 15 years in London and Chicago. She was a leader in the firm’s marketing and retail practices.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the Ad Council, The McDonald’s Corporation, NorthShore University HealthSystem, The Economic Club of Chicago, and is a member of the Commercial Club of Chicago, The Committee of 200, and The Chicago Network.

She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
