Among the top young scientist in the health department
Eleni Antoniadou is Co-Founder of “Transplants Without Donors” and Researcher at “NASA/ESA”. Her academic fields are Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine.
She’s one of the scientists who believe that in the close future transplantation organs will be developed from the patients’ cells offering the advantage of minimum possibilities for being rejected by the patients’ body.
Moreover, she is an innovator in regerative medicine technology, currently allowing the monitoring of donor-free organs transplantation, being also the co-founder of “Transplants Without Donors”.
Her interest in the exploration of the universe led her to NASA, where she runs a research project on the effect of radiation on the human nervous system, aiming at protecting the astronauts during their missions.
She was voted “2013 Woman of the Year” at the annual “British FDM Everywoman in Technology Awards”, the largest organization in Britain, putting the spotlight on most talented women transforming the science, technology and entrepreneurhip industry.
In 2015, “Forbes” magazine included her in the “30 Under 30” Healthcare list among 30 scientists under the age of 30, digitally pioneering in their field.
