Brings Revolution to Digital Media

Athan E. Stephanopoulos, a well-known person within the national Greek community, has founded and also acts as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gorilla Spot, Inc. a company based in New York City.

In 1994 he went to Willamette University where he got his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Religious Studies in 1998 and in 2007 he got his MBA in Communications & Media Management at Fordham University.

Stephanopoulos was working in 2005 in an entertainment advertising agency, Shoolery Design, Inc. where he understood how he can combine the traditional media industry with the new digital technologies. In January 2007 he founded GorillaSpot Media. GorillaSpot boasts an impressive list of companies who utilize their technologies to manage their marketing campaigns across the social web. Soon GorillaSpot had major clients like HBO, Paramount Pictures, MTV, CBS Sports.

Except his company, Stephanopoulos is also teaching courses on Media Entrepreneurship and Social Media in Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business in New York City and chairs a Media Lecture Series that interviews top media executives.

Before he started his career in the media, he worked for the Greek Orthodox Church raising money for its philanthropic and missionary activities around the world.
