A multitalented Greek Canadian impresses Hollywood

Marie Avgeropoulos is a Greek Canadian actress and model best known for her roles in the television series Cult and Hunt to Kill. She also took part in the movie Percy Jackson & the Olympians as the daughter of Aphrodite. She recently starred with Taylor Lautner at the movie Tracers and currently stars in the television series The 100.

She was born on 17 June 1986 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. She grew close to nature, fishing and camping and thus she dreamt of becoming an action heroine.

She studied Broadcast Journalism for 2 years in Canada but soon decided to leave for Europe in order to discover her self. Coming back to Canada, after a few months, she decided to relocate to Vancouver and chase her dreams of becoming an actress.

During a casting call for drummers in Vancouver, an agent recognized her talent and she started appearing in various national commercials. One thing led to another and the director Chris Columbus («Harry Potter», «Rent», «Mrs Doubtfire», «Home Alone») gave Marie her first role for the movie «I Love You, Beth Cooper».

She has appeared in major networks FOX, CW, NBC, CBS and on successful shows such as Supernatural, Fringe, Eureka & Human Target.

In 2011, Marie landed a role alongside Seth Rogan, & Joseph Gordan-Levitt on the big screen in Golden Globe Nominated film «50/50″.After gaining success in Vancouver, she decided to move to Los Angeles. Marie was offered the lead role on a Pilot called «Fugitive At 17″.
