President in one of the top chains of convenience stores in US

Ari Haseotes is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Cumberland Farms, one of the top chains of convenience stores in the United States, and also President of Cumberland Gulf Group. According to Forbes magazine, the Haseotes family ranks 108th in the list of the wealthiest families in the United States, worth $2.1 billion.

The Haseotes family’s Cumberland Farms operates 600 convenience stores and 2.000 gas stations. Greek immigrants Vasilios and Aphrodite Haseotes purchased a farm in 1938, which eventually grew into a large dairy farm. In 1958, they opened the first dairy store of Cumberland Farms that has been growing ever since.

“Back in the spring of 1939, my grandparents Vasilios and Aphrodite Haseotes bought a farm in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Their dream was to make a better life for their growing family. They bought a cow and a calf for $84, and suddenly the Haseotes family was in the dairy business.”

Ari Haseotes holds a B.S. in Business Management from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.

He started working for Cumberland Farms’ Marketing Department in 2003. In 2005, he was named Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development, within the company’s Finance Department.

In 2007, he was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and served in that position until his promotion to President and Chief Operating Officer in 2008. In 2013, Ari was promoted to President and Group Chief Operating Officer of the Cumberland Gulf Group of Companies.

The parents of three children, Ari and his wife Ashley founded One Mission, after their eldest child Nicholas was diagnosed with leukemia and their family’s struggle against the disease inspired them to start the foundation, volunteering to make life better for children and their families living with cancer.
