Forbes Magazine is presenting the 30 Under 30 2015 in Healthcare. The 30 top young people dared to go digital and excel in the health department. In the list, on the third place we find the Greek scientist Eleni Antoniadou.
As the magazine states «Eleni is chasing one of the holy grails of biotechnology: the idea of creating organs in the laboratory that could be transplanted into sick patients who need them».
The Greek scientist is engaged in nanosciences and regenerative medicine. She is one of the scientists who believe that in the near future will be able to grow vital organs from cells of the same patients requiring transplants, which the organization is less likely to reject.
She is the co-founder of the company Transplants Without Donors, which operates more in this area.
