A book guide to the correct pronunciation of the Greek language

[:el]

The presentation of the book “How did you say that? Rules for pronunciation of the Greek language” by Manos Sifonios, was held on Tuesday, June 13, at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation.

The event was co-ordinated by the journalist Dimitris Kambourakis, while in the discussion participated Carmen Rougeri, actor and director, Claire – Fotini Skandamis, Professor of Modern Greek (Barcelona) and the author and inspirer of the book, Manos Sifonios.

“How did you say that?” was written in 2011, but it remained in the drawer due to the economic crisis and other professional priorities. The prologue, written by the Professor of Linguistics and President of the Center for the Greek Language, Ioannis Kazazis, gave a great impetus to the final version of the publication.

The author of the book is Communicator Manos Sifonios. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and his origin is from Symi. He studied Biology, Electronic Journalism and Directing. He worked as a journalist or production manager on television and radio.

Ellines.com supports the effort of the e-book and the first printed version of the book as a co-publisher, hoping with this clear, concise and comprehensive guide to teach all of us to speak correctly the Greek language.
