The first official images from Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated Odyssey offer an impressive first look at Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and Himesh Patel in the leading roles of the Homeric epic.
The Oscar-winning filmmaker reunites with Matt Damon, who portrays Odysseus, chronicling the hero’s long and arduous journey back to Ithaca after the Trojan War. In one of the released stills, Damon appears alongside Himesh Patel, who takes on the role of Eurylochus, one of Odysseus’ most trusted companions.
Anne Hathaway also joins the cast, continuing her collaboration with Nolan following The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar. In Odyssey, she plays Penelope, while Tom Holland portrays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, in a role carrying significant emotional weight.
The ensemble is further strengthened by Robert Pattinson as Antinous, alongside an impressive supporting cast that includes Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.
Universal Pictures describes the film as “a mythic action epic,” shot across multiple locations worldwide using brand-new IMAX film technology. One of the published images even shows Christopher Nolan directing behind an IMAX camera, underscoring the ambitious scale of the production.
Odyssey is scheduled to premiere in cinemas on July 17, 2026.
