Kostas Andriosopoulos is the executive director of the Research Centre for Energy Management at ESCP Europe Business School. He also holds the position of Associate Professor in Finance and Energy Economics. His interests include energy-related geopolitical issues, price modelling, financial engineering and the application of operational research tools on risk management and investment techniques in energy, shipping and agricultural commodity markets.
He started his studies at the Technical University of Crete, Greece where he received his Bachelor Degree in Production Engineering and Management in 2004. He then completed his MBA and M.Sc. in Finance at the Northeastern University in Boston of the United States in 2006 and his Ph.D. in Finance and Energy Economics from Cass Business School at the City, University of London in 2011.
In 2006, he started working as a Visiting Lecturer in Finance at the Cass Business School. He remained in this position for five years. In 2008, he worked at Knud E Hansen as a Business Consultant. He kept that position until 2014. He then joined DEPA S.A. as Group Vice Chairman. In December 2015, he left the position.
From 2004,Kostas Andriosopoulos is a Partner at Symmetria Commodities Brokerage & Consultancy, from 2010 he is a Partner at Web Solutions Company, from 2013 he is a Senior Advisor at 3H Partners, from March 2011 he is an associate professor in Finance & Energy Economics at the business school ESCP Europe and from 2016, he is President at the Hellenic Association For Energy Economics and President at the Hellenic Academics Association in Great Britain.
His work has been published in international finance journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance, European Journal of Operational Research, European Journal of Finance, Energy Economics, Energy Journal, Transportation Research: Part E and others, and has been presented in recognised conferences world-wide.
Kostas Andriosopoulos is a Board Member at the Global Gas Centerand at the Financial Engineering and Banking Societyand a member at the World Energy Council, the International Association for Energy Economics and at the Technical Chamber of Greece. He is also a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honour society, which recognizes outstanding academic achievements of students enrolled in collegiate business and management programs.
