Indian clothes collection inspired by Ancient Greece

Designer duo Arhhan Singh and Junaaid launched their new spring summer collection 2014 under their label AnuNakki at Kimaya in Juhu recently. Arhhan, who gained popularity as a child star in Dekh Bhai Dekh, said, «The collection has been inspired by the designs of ancient Greece. Initially, Junaaid and I did a soft launch some time ago to study people’s reaction to the label’s aesthetic. The positive response helped us to go retail.»

Ancient Greece is one of the most influential civilizations in regards to contemporary fashion. Many world-famous fashion designers incorporate ancient Greek elements in their collection while the greatest actresses choose Grecian-inspired gowns and dresses for their appearances on red carpet events, galas, and award ceremonies.

One-shouldered dresses, draped tunics that flatter all body types, leather gladiator sandals and jeweled headbands are just some of the Grecian-inspired elements that dominate modern fashion. The “ancient Greek look” is timeless as it combines beauty, simplicity and elegance.

Lending star support to the label’s launch were Kajol, Mugdha Godse, Evelyn Sharma, Tanya and Krishan Kumar, Wardha Nadiadwala, Mauli Ganguly, Bhavna Jasra, Nishka Lulla, Roopa Vohra, Rocky S, Samyukta Singh, Natasha Singh, Masummeh Makhija, Prem Soni, Krishika Lulla, as well as Dabboo and Manisha Ratnani, among others.
