A Greek Austrian fashion designer takes over the international catwalks

Marios Schwab is a London based fashion designer raging the world of fashion, with famous clients like Kylie Minogue, Kate Moss, Jessica Alba, Demi Moore, Kristen Stewart and many more.

Schwab’s mother is of Greek descent and his father is Austrian. In his early age, Marios dreamt of becoming a professional ballet dancer. However, enchanted by the shining catwalk models and by his father’s profession in the brassiere industry, he decided to get involved with fashion design.

“To get into Athens nightclubs, one needed an eccentric outfit”, the designer recalls.

At the age of 15, Schwab relocated to Austria to study at the prestigious Annahof Schule as the only male student at that time. During the next four years, he had been studying different tailoring techniques. He later studied at Esmod Fashion School and graduated with distinctions. In 2003, he relocated to London to complete his studies on women fashion at Central Saint Martins.

In 2005, Schwab started his own label and made his debut at London’s Fashion Week in September 2006.  During the same year, he received Best Young Designer Award by the British Fashion Awards. In October 2008, he also made a successful appearance at the Greek Fashion Week.

After having gained the trust of women all over the world with his airy garments and elegant leather sandals of Ancient Greek style, Marios Schwab designed a new underwear line under the name of Kallisti, sold exclusively in his popular online store.
