A Meningocele at his spine, riveted him in a wheelchair, even when he was a baby. Being eleven years old today, Rafael Patronidis by the City of Nikaias at Larissa has managed to overcome any obstacles and become the youngest player in wheelchair tennis in the world.

He is already taking part in international tournaments, enjoying the recognition of older teammates, with whom he reckons as there are no other paraplegic children at this age dealing with the sport. He says he is happy to be involved with tennis, while his dream is to become someday a gymnast in order to train children who have disabilities.

Raphael is very diligent in his courses, from which he distinguishes the Greek language, but he also loves computer games. His tennis idol is Rafael Nadal Parera, from Spain.
