«The historical fame of Greece is an element of allurement»

Aristotelis-Georgios Sakellariou is working in Kuala Lumpur as Head of the Conservation Department at the Museum of Islamic Art in Malaysia, one of the largest and most remarkable museums of South Asia. Before settling down there, he worked on excavations, museums and ministries, in the Lincoln Archives in Britain, the University of Athens, the Hellenic Museum of Folk Art, the Jewish Museum of Greece, England, Jordan, Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman. Moreover, depending on the working place, he attends conferences and enjoys writing. Apart from Greek, he speaks very good English, Arabic, and he is also trying to learn Hebrew. He considers himself a Greek citizen of the world and not necessarily a Greek from the mainland which, however, he admits that he loves dearly.
